Dose AGV Free totaly get rid of a Computer virus?

I have recently descoved that my commy has multiple viruses. I told my frend about it on msn, she asked her brother what software would get rid of it %26 he suggested AGV. I did the scan %26 got all the updates. My virus seems to have gone now but is it deefinatly gon for good?

I presume you mean AVG Free edition. Yes it is an effective anti-virus program. The fact that it has detected and removed the virus means it has gone for good. However, this does not mean you cannot get infected again - it depends on the source of the infection. Most likely it came through an email or a download over the internet. Make sure you scan emails and downloads before opening them.

You should also run a spyware scan. There are several online ones but the best 2 in my opinion are Ad Aware and Spybot. You can find both at http://www.majorgeeks.com

You should also make sure you are using a firewall other than the standard Windows one. ZoneAlarm is excellent and there is a Free edition - also at majorgeeks.

Unless it is some new virus that AVG doesn't scan for...but i doubt that would happen
Most likely they are. If you want to be super safe, check out http://housecall.trendmicro.com/. It's an online virus/spyware scanner. The site will scan your computer thoroughly.
Yes AVG is a good anti virus. i am using for last 3 years.
