Free AGV instead of Norton Internet Sercurity ?

Hi, Is it true that AGV security is better than Norton and if I did chose to download it it doesnt come with any viruses etc, once I have downloaded it. And is there a specific site where I have to download it from, as I did type it into search for it and there was a few sites.

Any information you can give me will be great, Thanks.

I have used it on my 6 computers for the last 5 years and it works great!

You need to get rid of Norton completely and can not do it form ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in the control panel.

The Norton uninstall tool uninstalls ALL Norton 2004/2005/2006/2007 products from your computer. It also uninstalls Norton Ghost 10.0/9.0/2003.

I think you mean AVG and it was recommended to me by an independent PC dealer and repairer. They had done research which showed that AVG had picked up more Cookies then the Norton package. The AVG anti virus Free Edition 7.5 has also been voted all round winner and Editor`s choice for free software in the Microsoft mag this month.
